SA vs IND: 3 Players Disappoint in Third Match, Fans Criticize on Social Media

SA vs IND: It was the third T20I match between South Africa and India, and three players disappointed the fans, who afterwards even caused heavy criticism for Team India on social media.

The Indian cricket team is presently on a tour of South Africa in which the two teams are locked for a four-match T20 series. In the third T20I, played at Centurion, South Africa opted to bowl first after winning the toss. It was a very easy ride for India as they reached 219/6 in their 20 overs. Significant contributions by Tilak Varma, who remained not out with 107 off just 58 balls, and a team summing up over 200 wins the deal for India. Three players cannot go unmentioned, however, who have once again faced flak from fans with substandard performances.

Three Men Down in SA vs IND Pandya, Samson, and Rinku

In the third T20I, Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson and Rinku Singh were not able to provide enough fire on the match, which resulted in being frustrated on their performance from the audience. While Sanju Samson who smashed a century in the opening game of the series failed in back-to-back games in which, as he was clean bowled on his second ball this time too and went back without even scoring a run, it is adding to the frustration among the fans.

Rinku Singh is a new player who came into some promise recently but again gave up his previous form. He has a lot of expectation from the fans but yet failed to do something significant in this series, and in the third T20I, he could manage only 8 runs off 13 balls, which keeps him in a line of disappointing performances.

This performance by the trio, however, prompts one to ask whether they can be relied upon on a consistent basis in high-stakes matches. Fans are now hopeful for the rest of the series as India carries on in South Africa with such players who display willingness to form and step up for the team.
