Before taking his own life, Atul Subhash recorded a video in which he calmly recounted the hardships he faced, blaming five individuals, including his wife, her family, and Principal Family Court Judge Rita Kaushik. He also wrote a lengthy suicide note explaining his struggles and the reasons behind his extreme step. Atul accused his wife and her family of extortion and harassment and criticized India’s judicial system for its alleged bias in such cases.

Youtuber Akassh Ashok Gupta pointed out the financial strain Atul was under, alleging that his wife, despite earning her own income, demanded excessive maintenance payments. Gupta called this incident a stark reminder of the flaws in India’s legal system regarding marital disputes.
