US Election2024: American Liberal Women Refuse to Date Donald Trump Voters

The recent return of Donald Trump to the U.S. presidency brought a lot of disappointment to many women, inspiring a movement reminiscent of South Korea's feminist "4B" movement. The boycotting women have begun to start boycotting the men who voted for Donald Trump in the election. In the U.S., it is being dubbed the "4B Movement.

A report on Telegraph quotes many American women going up in protest against men who supported the way Trump returned to the White House. As part of this movement, women involved have pledged boycotting Trump voters for the next four years, never to date, marry, get intimate or even give children.

The movement also calls on women to delete their dating apps so that there will be no interaction with the supporters of Trump. This protesting was inspired by South Korea's 4B movement, which took place in the 2010s. Korean pronunciation for "B" sounds like "no," and "B" stands for rejection of four specific things. This "4B" actually translates into four "No's": no dating, no intercourse, no marriage, and no childbearing with men. This South Korean movement was an act of aversion to the long-runned gender inequality and at the same time, to promote women's independence from the norms associated with patriarchal approach.
