The new German sexual health brand, Billy Boy, has launched a new app, Camdom, also known as the "digital condom." It is an application based on Bluetooth technology that deactivates smartphone cameras and microphones. This brings forth a new level of intimacy with added security. Available on Android, it is soon going to have an iOS version, too. It's already changing the lives of over 30 countries as it is helping prevent any unauthorized audio or video recording.

How Camdom Works
The functionality of Camdom is simple yet powerful. The app gets activated through the presence of a smartphone and the user's ability to swipe a virtual button on the screen. That blocks camera and microphone functionality, thus no recording could be done. In case someone attempts to circumvent this restriction, the application immediately identifies it, sending an alert to all its users of a potential breach of privacy. Camdom can further protect and secure several gadgets at a time, giving it some extended coverage through various lines of smartphones for the very same space.
"If this block is somehow bypassed then an alarm rings to call the attention of parties involved indicating a possible act of filming without consent," an official pointed out. Thus, "it fights revenge porn among other breaches of private leaked content- a feature, which could give control back into the right hands."
