Temple Attack Won't Shake Us, PM Modi Amid India-Canada Tensions

India-Canada tensions rise with the latest temple attack as Prime Minister Narendra Modi labeled it a cowardly act and such acts won't weaken the resolve.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi finally breaks his silence after a wave of violence by Khalistan supporters on a Hindu temple in Canada. Terming it as a "cowardly act," PM Modi declared that this will not change India's determination. PM Modi made these comments in the wake of pro-Khalistan protesters and Hindus clashing at Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Canada, where attacks also took place.

PM Modi Condemns Attack on Hindu Temple in Canada

The clash occurred on Sunday when the protesters, carrying Khalistani flags, clashed with the visitors in the temple. Following this incident, the Indian High Commission in Ottawa severely condemned the "anti-India" elements that had committed this attack. India's MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal condemned the violence, urging the Canadian government to protect Hindu temples and take proper action against the culprits.

In his statement, PM Modi said that I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. Cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats are equally deplorable. Such acts of violence will never weaken India's resolve. We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.
