Hindu Community in Canada Unites in Solidarity
The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, outrightly condemned the attack and asked the Canadian government to ensure safety for all places of worship and to ensure Indian citizens are protected. We urge the Canadian government to protect worship sites from such attacks and expect that those involved in this violence will be prosecuted. We are very concerned about the safety of Indian citizens in Canada. Our consular officials should not be threatened, harassed, or assaulted when serving Indian and Canadian citizens alike.
The acts of violence at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton today are unacceptable. Every Canadian has the right to practice their faith freely and safely.

Thank you to the Peel Regional Police for swiftly responding to protect the community and investigate this incident.
As one incident which was condemned by the country's Prime Minister, the PM of Canada Justin Trudeau addressed: "every Canadian has a right to practice their religion with freedom and safety." I thank the local authorities responsible for taking prompt action. I appreciate Peel Regional Police and their timely investigation into it.
The incident has, however witnessed a call towards unity in the Hindu community in Canada. Most people gathered outside Hindu Sabha Temple to show a sense of togetherness, calling for the need for a united Indian community.
In the course of the protests, Peel Regional Police revealed that they took part in the protest process at the temple, that later continued at two venues in Mississauga before three persons were arrested over criminal cases. The police are actively investigating numerous illegal activities associated with the protest and thanked those people who remained peaceful throughout the time. According to a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation report, videos show protesters carrying some pro-Khalistan flags; there were clashes and tussles near the temple grounds.
