2025 Jawa 42 FJ Spied: Dual Exhausts Gone, Agility Upgraded?
The 2025 Jawa 42 FJ has been seen testing with an unexpected design change: no twin exhausts. Spy photographs show the retro-themed motorcycle might use a single or underbelly exhaust arrangement, abandoning its twin pipes characteristic. Although low-resolution images create scope for gossip, the action follows competitors like Royal Enfield and Honda, whose 350cc motorcycles have single exhausts.
Removing the dual exhaust system would shave weight, making the bike more powerful relative to its weight and more agile—perfect for weaving through congested traffic or parking lots. But Jawa would risk alienating traditionalists who adore its retro looks. The 42 FJ's retro roots are preserved in a round LED headlight, teardrop fuel tank, and upswept exhaust, but an underbelly pipe hidden from view could conflict with its vintage personality.

No other significant changes are apparent. The 42 FJ keeps its double-cradle frame, telescopic forks, 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, and disc brakes with ABS. The wide tires (100/90 front, 140/70 rear) provide grip and flair, while the 790mm seat height promises rider-friendly ergonomics. Jawa's refresh appears aimed at combining contemporary performance with classic design—but will enthusiasts approve?
