2025 Yamaha FZ-S, FZ-X Hybrid Unveiled: TFT Display, Hybrid Tech, Launch Imminent

Yamaha, a leading name in India’s motorcycle industry, has started 2025 with groundbreaking innovations. The company recently revealed the 2025 FZ-S and FZ-X Hybrid models to select dealers, highlighting significant upgrades to their popular FZ lineup.
Hybrid Technology for FZ Models
The Yamaha FZ-X DLX will be the first in the lineup to feature Yamaha’s Hybrid technology, including a Smart Motor Generator (SMG). This system uses a small battery-powered electric motor that serves as both a starter motor and generator. The hybrid tech ensures silent starts, an engine stop/start system, and improved fuel efficiency, making it a game-changer in the 150cc motorcycle segment.
Advanced TFT Display
For the first time in this segment, Yamaha is introducing a color TFT instrument cluster. The new display will support Bluetooth connectivity, enabling features like turn-by-turn navigation and music control. It’s expected to include upgraded switchgear for easy control. The TFT display is confirmed for the FZ-X DLX and may also feature in the FZ-S Ver 4.0 DLX.
Stylish Updates and New Colors
Yamaha has also revamped the color options for its 2025 FZ models. The FZ-S Ver 4.0 STD will offer four colors, including one single-tone and three dual-tone shades, two of which feature painted wheels. The DLX version will have two exclusive colors with enhanced graphics.
Similarly, the 2025 FZ-X comes in STD and DLX variants, with two colors for each. The DLX variant stands out with chrome tank options and painted wheels.
Price and Launch Details
The 2025 Yamaha FZ-X STD is expected to start at ₹1.37 lakh (ex-showroom), while the FZ-S Ver 4.0 STD may begin at ₹1.31 lakh. With the addition of hybrid tech and the TFT display, these models may come with a slight price premium.
Stay tuned for the official launch, expected soon, as Yamaha sets new benchmarks in the mid-range motorcycle segment.
