The video, posted by Russian content creator Wylsacom on YouTube, offers an early glimpse of the rumored laptop just weeks ahead of Apple's expected announcement of its new MacBook lineup.

The MacBook Pro is believed to feature the M4 chipset, which is speculated to include a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. The model unboxed in the video comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, complemented by a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology, delivering a sharp resolution of 3024x1964 pixels.

Design and Build: Similarities to Its Predecessor

Design-wise, the new device closely resembles its predecessor, the MacBook Pro with the M3 chip. The retail packaging showcases the same wallpaper as the previous model, and the dimensions of the laptop are reported to be 1.55 x 31.26 x 22.12 cm, weighing in at 1.6 kg.

Connectivity Options: What to Expect

In terms of connectivity, the MacBook Pro M4 is expected to feature three USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, a MagSafe 3 port, a headphone jack, an HDMI port, and an SDXC card slot. The laptop is also likely to come with a 70W power adapter that supports charging via USB Type-C.

Performance Benchmarks: Testing the M4 Chip

Benchmark tests included in the video indicate that the MacBook Pro achieved Geekbench scores of 3,864 for single-core performance and 15,288 for multi-core performance, highlighting the capabilities of Apple’s latest silicon.

While official specifications have yet to be confirmed, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has indicated that Apple may launch the new MacBook models on October 28, coinciding with the release of iOS 18.1, which is expected to introduce new Apple Intelligence features for iPhone users. Alongside the new MacBooks, Apple might also unveil an updated iPad mini and a Mac mini during the event.
