New Audi A6 Revealed: Sleeker, Smarter, and Ready to Rival BMW 5 Series

Audi has officially unveiled the sixth-generation A6, introducing a bold new design and state-of-the-art technology into its luxury executive sedan. Its global launch is expected by mid-2025, so the new A6 could arrive in Indian shores by late 2025 or early 2026.
As a main competitor to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Volvo S90, the new Audi A6 adopts a sportier and aerodynamic direction. Design change involves a reduced drag coefficient of only 0.23 Cd — the lowest so far for any internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle from Audi.
Based on Volkswagen Group's Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the new A6 combines mild hybrid technology with ICE powertrains. The sedan is now 60 mm longer and has a stretched wheelbase, which improves both its road presence and interior space.
Design and Exterior Highlights
The new A6 sports a more aggressive front face with a huge grille, angular LED headlamps, creased bonnet lines, and huge air intakes. Side-mounted ORVMs, flared wheel arches, and optional 23-inch alloy wheels give it a muscular stance. At the back, a continuous LED taillight bar and dual functional exhausts finish the sporty profile.
Interior and Tech Features
Step inside, and the new A6 welcomes you with a cutting-edge cabin. It accommodates a 37.3-inch total display area, featuring:
- A 14.5-inch curved infotainment screen
- An 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster
- An optional 10.9-inch front passenger display
Driven by Android Automotive OS, the system includes such native apps as YouTube, Spotify, and ChatGPT, as well as a smart AI assistant. The interior also has a top-of-the-range Bang & Olufsen sound system with 20 speakers pumping out 810W, ambient lighting with 84 LEDs, soft-close doors, a 492L boot, and quad-zone climate control.
