Why Are These Cars Launching in October?

One of the key reasons for the launch of several cars in October is the beginning of the festive season. The period kicks off with the end of Pitr Paksha on October 2, followed by the start of Navratri on October 3. This marks the beginning of the festive season, during which many people prefer purchasing new vehicles.

Here are the four cars set to launch in October:

1. Mercedes E-Class LWB

Mercedes has been selling the E-Class in India for over three decades, and now they are set to launch the long-wheelbase (LWB) version on October 9. The car has undergone styling changes, making it resemble the EQ models. Notable features include flush-type door handles similar to the S-Class and 18-inch wheels. Its tire profile is comparable to the BMW 5 Series, though the price is expected to be around ₹10 lakh higher. The Mercedes E-Class LWB is expected to launch in India at a price of ₹82 lakh.

2. BYD eMax 7

BYD is launching its electric MPV, the eMax 7, on October 8. This model is an updated version of the e6 and comes with three-row seating along with several new features. It will offer two battery options: a 55 kWh and a 71.8 kWh pack, with ranges of 420 km and 530 km, respectively. The eMax 7 will compete directly with the Toyota Innova Hycross.

3. Nissan Magnite Facelift

Nissan is set to reveal the prices for the facelifted Magnite on October 4. This model will feature minor cosmetic updates, while the engine will remain the same. It will also come with new alloy wheels. Despite the changes, the Nissan Magnite will continue to be one of the most affordable compact SUVs in India, competing with the Maruti Fronx and Tata Punch. Its top variants will go up against the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.

4. Kia Carnival

Kia is bringing the fourth-generation Carnival to India on October 3 as a completely built unit (CBU). The third-generation model was discontinued in June last year. The new Carnival will feature dual electric sunroofs, electrically adjustable captain seats in the second row, power sliding rear doors, a multi-zone climate control system, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) safety suite. The price is expected to exceed ₹50 lakh.
