Kia is set to launch its latest compact SUV, the Syros, in India on December 19. It will come priced below ₹10 lakh, a very attractive segment and expected to expand further within this growing market of the compact SUV.
The Kia Syros will be a boxy car, with spacious interiors that may well rival the company's Sonet but with a premium feel. The panoramic sunroof will be a great feature, unlike the Sonet, which offers a single-pane variant. The front will have stacked 3-pod LED headlights with DRLs, and the rear may have connected LED tail lights. The car will have a clean tailgate design, strong shoulder line, and flush-type door handles.
Interior and Technology:
Inside, the Syros will likely share a cabin with features similar to the Kia Sonet and Seltos, including a dual-tone interior theme. The new 2-spoke steering wheel, a popular trend, will be present. Kia Syros comes in three engine options: A 1.2 Petrol-83 PS unit, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol producing 120 PS and 1.5 diesel engine with 116 PS. Transmission options can include 5-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed AT and 7-speed DCT based on the variant available with an engine.
