KTM 390 Enduro R India Launch Set for April 11: A New Off-Road Era Begins

KTM India is set to introduce its first true Enduro motorcycle, the KTM 390 Enduro R, in the Indian market on April 11. Based on the popular 390 Adventure platform, this new model is engineered specifically for off-road enthusiasts, offering a lightweight frame and improved off-road performance.

The 390 Enduro R carries design inspiration from KTM’s larger Enduro bikes. With fewer body panels, it boasts a lower kerb weight of 168 kg, delivering an impressive power-to-weight ratio. Key off-road components include 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels with tubed tyres and a 230mm suspension travel, tailored for Indian terrain. The ground clearance stands at 253mm, and the seat height is adjusted to 860mm for better accessibility.

Under the hood, the bike is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled LC4c engine producing 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox. It features a 4.1-inch TFT colour display with Bluetooth connectivity, offering turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and smartphone integration.

With an expected ex-showroom price between ₹3.3 lakh and ₹3.4 lakh, the KTM 390 Enduro R enters a niche category in India, currently without a direct competitor.
