Nissan Magnite Facelift 2024 Launched: Get Ready for Turbo Power, New Tech, and Killer Pricing!
Nissan India is all set to launch the facelifted version of its popular sub-4-metre compact SUV, the Nissan Magnite, today. Bookings for the refreshed model opened earlier this week, and deliveries are scheduled to begin tomorrow, October 5. Here’s a detailed look at what to expect from the new Magnite facelift.
Design and Exterior Updates
The Nissan Magnite facelift gets a refreshed look with several key design changes. It features a redesigned front grille, new headlamps, and L-shaped LED DRLs carried over from the previous version. The rear section has also been updated, featuring new LED taillamps and a revised bumper. One of the most noticeable updates is the new set of six-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, which add a sporty touch to the vehicle’s profile.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Magnite facelift introduces a black and orange dual-tone interior theme with minor tweaks to the trim inserts. The cabin layout remains largely similar to the outgoing model. Key features include a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with an upgraded digital driver’s display. The facelift also brings in automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, and for the first time, a single-pane sunroof. Other expected features include an air purifier and a 360-degree camera, making the cabin more tech-savvy and comfortable for the driver and passengers alike.
Safety Features
The updated Nissan Magnite will offer an impressive suite of safety features, with six airbags as standard. In total, there are more than 55 active and passive safety features, including a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which ensures a safe and secure driving experience.
Engine and Powertrain Options
The powertrain options in the Magnite facelift remain unchanged from the previous model. It will continue to offer two engine choices:
- A 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72PS and 96Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).
- A 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 100PS and up to 160Nm of torque, available with a 5-speed MT or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Price
The Nissan Magnite facelift is expected to be priced between ₹6.30 lakh to ₹11.30 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it competitively within the sub-4-metre compact SUV market.
Competitors
The Magnite facelift will continue to compete against popular sub-compact SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Exter, and Tata Punch in the Indian market, offering a balance of affordability, features, and performance.
