TVS to Launch First 300cc Adventure Bike, Set to Rival Royal Enfield in 2025

TVS is gearing up to launch its first adventure motorcycle in India, featuring a 300cc engine. Currently undergoing testing, this bike is expected to enter production soon. Here’s what to expect from this new entrant.

TVS Motor has expedited the development work of its 300cc adventure bike which was originally designed for India's various climatic region. Unlike the Bajaj TVS venture that teams up with BMW, the existing project motor called BMW Motorrad F 450 GS scheduled to be launched at the premium EICMA will work independently for this project as well. This new model hopes to offer stiff competition to the Royal Enfield.

Roughly designed and off-road capabilities

The TVS adventure bike will come built tough to take on rugged terrains. It will feature a strong, muscular build and will also come with a 21-inch front wheel and a 19-inch rear wheel, which is suited for both on- and off-road conditions. The bike will come with tubed tires mounted on wire-spoke wheels as well as front and rear disc brakes to improve its off-road performance.
The Most Premium Model Ever Produced by TVS

Expected to be the costliest offering from TVS, the bike could comprise advanced features like USD forks for front suspension, a monoshock unit at the rear, LED lighting, a digital instrument console, and three riding modes. The motor would be similar to what has been used in the TVS RTR 310 and RR 310, with a 6-speed gearbox, making it the top-of-the-line motorcycle in the TVS stable.

Launch Timeline

The new adventure bike will be unveiled by the TVS company during the Auto Expo 2025, with a potential launch scheduled sometime between June and July. It competes with such bikes as Hero Xpulse 200 4V and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 during its release. The company believes that the Indian market will highly welcome the new model.
