Xiaomi MIX Flip: Xiaomi Launches Its First Flip Foldable Phone Alongside 42-Hour Battery Life Earbuds
Xiaomi MIX Flip: Xiaomi has officially launched its first flip foldable phone, the Xiaomi MIX Flip, at a global event today. Following its release in China last July, this device is now available worldwide. This marks Xiaomi's entry into the clamshell foldable smartphone market. The MIX Flip features a 4-inch cover display, which is the largest in its segment, and supports up to 16GB of RAM with 67W fast charging. While the phone has been released in select global markets, there is currently no information regarding its launch in India. Additionally, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Buds 6, which offer an impressive 42 hours of battery life. Let’s take a closer look at the pricing and features of both products.
Xiaomi MIX Flip: Pricing and Features
The Xiaomi MIX Flip is priced at €1,299 (approximately ₹121,000) for the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The foldable phone is available for purchase in Europe, but details regarding its availability in other regions have yet to be disclosed. Customers can choose from black and purple color options.
The device boasts a 6.86-inch 1.5K TCL C8+ LTPO primary display protected by UTG glass. On the outside, it features a 4-inch 1.5K TCL C8+ LTPO cover display with a shatter-resistant glass shield. Both the primary and cover displays offer a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, HDR10+ support, and Dolby Vision.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which also runs the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the MIX Flip includes a 4,780mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. However, it does not offer wireless charging capabilities. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor located on the cover display. For selfies, there is a 32-megapixel camera on the primary display. The phone operates on HyperOS, based on Android 14.
Redmi Buds 6: Pricing and Features
The Redmi Buds 6 are priced at ¥199 (approximately ₹2,300) and are available in colors like cyan, white, and black. These earbuds feature a dual-driver acoustic structure, combining a 12.4mm titanium-coated diaphragm driver with a 5.5mm micro piezoelectric ceramic driver. This setup ensures rich, dynamic sound with deep bass and clear treble.
The earbuds come equipped with four EQ sound modes, allowing users to customize their listening experience. Regarding noise cancellation, the Redmi Buds 6 can effectively block up to 99.6% of ambient noise, thanks to their 49dB noise-reduction system. Additionally, the AI noise-resistant dual microphones are capable of reducing wind noise even in conditions with wind speeds of up to 9 meters per second.
