'Broseph' to the Rescue: How This Man is Helping Bengaluru Combat Cyber Threats, Stalking and More

Dushyant Dubey, popularly known as 'Broseph,' has emerged as a savior for many in the realm of cybercrime, stalking, civic issues, and domestic violence. As the founder of 'Saint Broseph Foundation,' he leads an army of thousands of volunteers dedicated to delivering justice and support to people in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune.
The Beginning
The story of Dushyant's transformation into 'Broseph' began in 2008. He came across a suicide note posted online by a young man named Abraham Biggs. Abraham live-streamed his suicide by consuming pills, leaving thousands of viewers helplessly watching. Dushyant immediately gathered information about Abraham and alerted the police, but it was too late. This tragic incident profoundly affected Dushyant, inspiring him to commit to helping others in distress.
Stepping into Social Service
Dushyant started volunteering with various NGOs, gradually building a robust network. His efforts to resolve issues for people in Bengaluru led to the establishment of the 'Saint Broseph Foundation.'
Saint Broseph Foundation
The foundation focuses on empowering women, promoting civic and legal awareness, providing mental health support, assisting students, offering legal aid, and supporting victims of domestic violence. It also runs the 'Saint Broseph Safehouse,' providing free shelter and protection to crime victims.
Challenges and Triumphs
Despite facing threats and police harassment, Dushyant remained steadfast in his mission. In 2023, he left his job to dedicate himself entirely to social service. Today, the foundation boasts over 8,000 volunteers, 15 chapters, and 400 coordinators.
Assistance and Support
Dushyant initially used his savings to support his endeavors and now seeks external support to continue helping those in need. The foundation also provides legal and medical assistance to victims.
Inspiration and the Path Ahead
Dushyant believes that social service should not be driven by personal gain. He has devoted his life to helping others, embodying the principle: "Do whatever you can, without worrying about the outcome."
