UP Man Commits Suicide in Bengaluru, T-Shirt Reads "Justice Is Due", Wife Filed 9 Cases

A 34-year-old engineer from Uttar Pradesh, Atul Subhash, died by suicide in Bengaluru, leaving behind a 24-page suicide note and a chilling message on his T-shirt reading "Justice Is Due." The incident in the Marathahalli area has raised suspicions that the man was driven to suicide due to stress and harassment from his wife and her family. He, who was reportedly battling depression, had sent a WhatsApp message to an NGO dealing with domestic violence cases about his plans before taking the extreme step.

Police have reported that Nikita Singhaniya, Atul's wife, had lodged as many as nine cases against him in Uttar Pradesh which includes charges of dowry harassment and attempted murder. In his suicide note, Atul mentioned that he suffered from exploitation, extortion, and corruption. He also made a video recording before death in which he blamed his wife and her family and even the judge of the family court of Jaunpur for driving him to this step. He stated that the frequent journeys between Bengaluru and Jaunpur to attend the court were part of the legal battle.

Atul had left a gift for his four-year-old son, and his family has been informed of the tragic incident. The police have launched an investigation based on the complaint filed by Atul's relatives.
