BJP Councillor Kusum Lata Joins AAP Ahead of Delhi Elections, Kejriwal Welcomes Homecoming
In a major political development ahead of the Delhi elections, BJP councillor Kusum Lata and her husband, Ramesh Pehalwan, have joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Kusum Lata announced that she was happy to join AAP and termed it a privilege. Her husband, Naresh Pehalwan, described it as a "homecoming," underlining the transformative work done under Arvind Kejriwal's leadership in education and healthcare.

At the press conference, Arvind Kejriwal expressed his happiness on their return. He said Naresh and Kusum had joined AAP in 2013 and were with the party till 2017. Kejriwal praised them for their contribution to wrestling and sports and said good people from every field are joining AAP now. Kusum Lata has twice been a councillor, strengthening the party's profile.
Criticism of Amit Shah over Law and Order in Delhi
Kejriwal also mentioned the letter he had written to Home Minister Amit Shah over the deteriorating law and order in Delhi. He raised alarming issues like 17 children going missing daily and increasing drug-related crimes. He also questioned the infiltration of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis, stating that the government was failing to seal borders and properly address the issue.
