Satyendar Jain, senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Delhi Health Minister, has been granted bail in the money laundering case filed against him. The court cited Jain's prolonged period of incarceration as a significant factor in its decision to grant him bail.

Jain had been in judicial custody since May 30, 2022, after being arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for his alleged involvement in money laundering through four companies linked to him. The court highlighted that Jain had endured lengthy imprisonment and thus warranted release.

This verdict brings considerable relief to the AAP leader, marking a crucial development in his legal battle. After spending 18 months behind bars, Jain is expected to walk free soon.
