PM Modi Targets AAP, Arvind Kejriwal Hits Back: "Delhi Government Only Received Insults"

In a heated exchange, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal on Friday, January 3, while delivering a speech in Delhi. The assault, centered on AAP's Delhi government, has drawn a sharp retort from the former Chief Minister. Kejriwal called PM Modi as one who had insulted the Delhi government and its people who had voted him in with an overwhelming majority.
Kejriwal's Counterattack
At a press conference, Kejriwal said, "PM Modi spent 43 minutes giving a speech, most of which was dedicated to insulting us and Delhiites. In 2015, Delhi chose two governments—AAP in Delhi and BJP at the center. While we’ve achieved significant milestones over ten years, the BJP failed to cite a single achievement in their 43-minute address, resorting only to insults."
AAP vs. BJP Governance
Kejriwal also emphasized the issue of divided work between the central and Delhi governments, stating that while his government worked day and night to transform the city, the BJP central leadership did nothing. "Delhi is a half-state, with work divided between two governments. We fulfilled our part, but BJP didn't. They only focused on insulting Delhiites and our government," he remarked.
Slums and Housing Criticism
Targeting BJP's promises, Kejriwal said, "There are 400,000 slums in Delhi, but BJP built just 4,700 houses in five years. At this pace, it will take 200 years to address the housing crisis. They promise proper homes but end up demolishing slums. Their leaders stay in slums for photo-ops, only to bulldoze them the next day.
Kejriwal said, "We have built 530 mohalla clinics in five years. If PM Modi had built 5,000 clinics, they would have been praised, and AAP would have been irrelevant in Delhi."
