Incident: A drama, which unfolded in Kapashera area of the Capital on December 6 afternoon that left everyone stunned saw how an Union Public Service Commission UPSC trainee was allegedly beaten by trainee IPS Officer, that too at a Wedding.

Civil services teacher Vikas Dhayal shared details of the attack on social media, alleging that trainee IPS officer Rahul Balhara struck him on the head with a glass. Dhayal's social media post on platform X (formerly Twitter) showed photos of his bloodied face and clothes, indicating the violence was severe.

Dhayal's post revealed that despite the serious nature of the attack, police initially showed hesitation in filing a formal complaint. It was only after the post garnered attention online that authorities responded. He further claimed that his complaint, which detailed the assault and was supported by CCTV footage, was ignored by the police until public pressure mounted.

The police are screening the CCTV footage of the incident. A senior officer has confirmed that two different complaints were filed, and an investigation is currently going on. Both parties were in a verbal dispute with each other, which led to this physical fight.

This case has caught everyone's attention because of the involvement of a trainee IPS officer, someone who is expected to be upholding law and order. The case has further raised questions about accountability and transparency in the police force.

As this case unfolds, Delhi police are also investigating another recent violent incident in the Govindpuri area. In this case, a dispute over a communal toilet allegedly led to the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man and injuries to two others. The police have arrested those involved, and a murder case has been filed.
