Hyderabad: A 30-year-old woman software employee from Puppalaguda has filed a complaint with the Narsingi police, alleging that she was raped by an assistant director who promised her roles in movies.

The victim accused Siddharth Varma, an assistant director in the Telugu film industry, of luring her with promises of securing film opportunities. According to the police, Siddharth Varma took advantage of her trust and raped her.
