The Courtroom Showdown

The additional chief metropolitan magistrate, V.R. Patil, made the call to keep the suspects—Gurmel Baljeet Singh, Dharmaraj Kashyap, Harish Kumar Nishad, and Praveen Lonkar—under wraps for a bit longer, citing their lack of cooperation during the investigation. The Mumbai Crime Branch has been on high alert, with these individuals being part of the 10 arrests made so far in connection to the tragic murder of the NCP leader and former minister, Baba Siddiqui.

A Shocking Murder

Baba Siddiqui was shot in the Nirmal Nagar area of Bandra on the night of October 12, leading to his unfortunate demise at Lilavati Hospital. The police have reported that the suspects are providing misleading information, complicating the investigation further. According to the prosecution, it was Singh and Kashyap, alongside a wanted suspect named Shivkumar Gautam, who fired the shots that took Siddiqui’s life.

Adding to the intrigue, Praveen Lonkar’s brother, Shubham, is allegedly linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, raising eyebrows about the depth of this criminal network.
