Maharashtra, the daughter of a senior Congress leader and MLA from Sangamner Balasaheb Thorat, has formally joined the political circles in Maharashtra further strengthening the family legacy. Last March, she was made President of Sangamner Youth Assembly and has since then been actively working at local politics. The same interest has led to speculations over her possible candidature for the Sangamner Assembly seat, making it a third generation of Thorat family members to make appearances on Maharashtra's political maps.
