Shocking Incident in Kanpur: 16-Year-Old Girl Shot in Jamu Village, Police Investigate   

A sudden gunshot in Jamu village, Kanpur, under the police station Bidhnu, on Wednesday created a panic all around. An unknown assailant, traveling on a motorcycle, had fired at a 16-year-old girl. Soon after the distress call was sent, the police were prompt in reaching the spot.

She is said to be the niece of Shubham, a local journalist. The reports further say that the girl suffered a gunshot wound and that her condition is reportedly critical. She was immediately rushed to the Bidhnu Community Health Center (CHC) for medical treatment. No official statement has come in so far regarding her condition, and the police are actively investigating the case.

Following the shooting, heavy police forces have been deployed in the area for maintaining order and for conducting investigations. The authorities are working hard to identify the culprits and are taking measures to ensure their speedy arrest. The incident has already created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among the locals who are demanding prompt action from the police.
