Woman Arrested After Returning Home from Another State for Allegedly Killing Husband

A couple from Taranipur village in Govindpur Panchet area of Swaroopnagar block had relocated to Mumbai for work and had been living there for an extended period. Recently, the couple, Jalal Mondal and Rozina Bibi, got engaged. However, a few days ago, Rozina Bibi allegedly killed Jalal Mondal.

The Mumbai Police launched an investigation into the incident. Three representatives, including a woman constable, traveled to Swaroopnagar as part of the investigation. This morning, police from the Swarupnagar police station arrested Rozina Bibi in Taranipur village.

Later in the afternoon, the Bhandup police approached the Basirhat sub-divisional court to obtain permission to transport Rozina Bibi to Mumbai for further legal proceedings.
