Volkswagen Cars Expected in 2025: Taigun Facelift, Golf, and ID.4 Electric Vehicle
Volkswagen is gearing up for an exciting 2025 with a lineup of new launches tailored for the Indian market. The brand is focusing on innovation, design, and sustainability, potentially showcasing these vehicles at the Auto Expo 2025.
Taigun Facelift: Refreshed Compact SUV
To stay competitive in the compact SUV segment, Volkswagen is set to introduce a facelifted version of the Taigun. While retaining the existing 1.5L and 1.0L turbocharged petrol engines, the SUV will feature several cosmetic upgrades, including a redesigned grille, headlamps, and front bumper.

The facelift may also include advanced safety features like ADAS Level 2, collision warning, and collision avoidance systems. Additionally, select variants might come with a panoramic sunroof, making it an appealing option for Indian buyers.
Volkswagen Golf: Premium Hatchback Arrives in India
The iconic Volkswagen Golf, known for its premium design and performance, is expected to make a limited debut in India. The Golf will likely be powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder turbo engine producing 265 BHP and 370 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Priced around ₹40 lakh, the Golf will target a niche market, competing with the Mini Cooper S and possibly the Skoda Octavia RS.
Volkswagen ID.4: The Brand’s First Electric SUV in India
Volkswagen’s ID.4 electric SUV could become the brand’s flagship EV in India. Built on the MEB platform, the ID.4 offers two battery options—52 kWh and 77 kWh—with a driving range of 340 to 500 km per charge.

The ID.4, showcased earlier at a Volkswagen brand conference, is likely to debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Positioned as Volkswagen's most premium offering in India, the ID.4 aims to combine cutting-edge technology with sustainability.
