IIT Student Success Story: Many aspiring engineers dream of studying at an IIT, and this dream often begins as early as class 10. Securing admission to an IIT without passing the rigorous JEE Main and Advanced exams remains a distant dream for many. The story of Pranav Goyal from Chandigarh is one such inspiring tale.

In 2018, Pranav topped the JEE (Advanced) exam, securing 337 out of 360 marks from the IIT Roorkee zone. Earlier that year, he had also achieved the fourth rank in the JEE Main and topped the CBSE class 12 non-medical stream in the Tricity area. Pranav attributes his success to his parents, co-owners of a pharmaceutical company in Chandigarh, and his professors, who provided continuous support and a disciplined study schedule.

"When I started preparing, my goal was to be in the top 10," Pranav recalled. "But as time passed, I set my sights on topping the JEE."

Following his outstanding performance, Pranav pursued a B.Tech in Computer Science at IIT Bombay. His academic journey was just the beginning. According to his LinkedIn profile, Pranav ventured into the world of quantitative trading at Jane Street, a global trading firm. In his current role, he focuses on developing and testing diverse trading strategies in international derivatives markets, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and global engagement.
