This decision follows the university's failure to submit mandatory information required for inspection and lack of response to repeated communication attempts by the UGC.

Established under Act No. 11 of 2016 and notified by the Government of Jharkhand on May 16, 2016, the university was included in the UGC's official list on August 3, 2016. However, it has not commenced any academic or teaching activities since its inception. Despite repeated reminders and communication from the UGC, including letters and calls, the university did not cooperate with the inspection process. Consequently, the UGC consulted the Jharkhand government to verify the institution's status. Based on the findings, Pragyan International University was delisted.

Students and stakeholders are advised to note that the university no longer holds recognition under the UGC's authority. This action highlights the UGC's commitment to maintaining the quality and standards of higher education institutions in India.
