Taking to Instagram, Sanjana Sanghi shared her gratitude and nostalgia for Rockstar. In her post, she shared a photo of the film’s poster and wrote, “Our 11•11•11 anniversary. The day that changed the course of my life, forever. Thirteen years later, sitting here having my morning chai in my home in Mumbai, staring at this stunning first print poster up in my living room… Little Mandy may never have been able to visualise this for herself.”
Sanjana expressed her appreciation for the film and the memories it created, saying, “To Rockstar, and the most precious people and memories it has given me, forever and ever.” Her heartfelt post has resonated with fans, who also remember Rockstar as a cinematic milestone.
In another post, Sanjana shared a memory from when she was cast as Mandy. She recalled being just 13 years old and in the middle of a school day when she received the life-changing news. “I can remember a tiny 13-year-old me getting the surreal news that I was going to be ‘Mandy’ in Rockstar, right in the middle of a school day like it was yesterday,” she wrote.
She went on to say that Rockstar introduced her to the world of cinema and ignited her passion for acting. “I didn't grow up ever imagining myself in the movies,” she shared. “After experiencing pure cinematic magic on the sets of Rockstar as a child, I couldn’t imagine my life without the movies.
