Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh are all set to return for the sequel of the popular movie De De Pyaar De, titled De De Pyaar De 2. However, Tabu will not be part of this new installment. The much-anticipated sequel will start shooting its next schedule in Punjab soon.

Filming Schedule and Locations

The first shooting schedule was held in Mumbai, but Ajay Devgn had to leave for the UK to shoot Son of Sardar 2. The team is now gearing up for the Punjab schedule, which is expected to begin in mid-September. This schedule will last for about 15-20 days, and after that, the crew will return to Mumbai for the final phase in October.

R Madhavan Joins the Cast

In a fresh addition to the cast, R Madhavan will play the role of Rakul Preet Singh’s father. His character is expected to engage in light-hearted banter with Ajay Devgn’s character, Ashish. The film will highlight traditional Punjabi settings, with most scenes shot in and around a family home and the scenic fields of Punjab.

Release and Direction

The filmmakers are working hard to complete the shoot by the end of this year, aiming for a release by May next year. While the first film was directed by Akiv Ali, Anshul Sharma will take over the reins for the sequel. Fans can also expect a surprise cameo from another popular actor, though details remain under wraps for now.
