Coldplay’s Future: Will They Stop Touring?
Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin recently revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe that the band plans to retire from making albums after releasing their 12th record. This announcement has left fans wondering if Coldplay will stop performing altogether.
Martin clarified that while they may not release new albums after their 12th, the possibility of future creative collaborations among band members remains open. However, he hinted that these collaborations may not involve traditional tours.
Inspired by iconic musicians like The Beatles and Bob Marley, Coldplay aims to maintain high-quality output with their final albums. “Having a limit means the quality control is so high right now, and for a song to make it, it’s almost impossible,” said Martin.
Formed in 1997, the band initially went by names like Big Fat Noises and Starfish before settling on Coldplay. Over the years, the group has become one of the most influential bands in the world, known for their emotional lyrics, captivating melodies, and electrifying performances.
