Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero Movie Gets Emotional Reaction from BSF Jawans in Kashmir

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi and the team of 'Ground Zero' held a special screening in Srinagar for BSF Jawans ahead of the film’s release. The screening was an emotional and proud moment as the film pays tribute to the Border Security Force (BSF), one of India’s most courageous forces.
Ground Zero film celebrates the BSF's bravery
In ‘Ground Zero’, Emraan Hashmi plays the role of Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, a brave BSF commandant posted in Kashmir during the early 2000s. The movie is inspired by real events, focusing on a mission led by Dubey to eliminate terrorist mastermind Ghazi Baba, which was a turning point in India’s fight against terrorism.
Actress Sai Tamhankar stars alongside Hashmi, playing the role of his supportive wife. Their emotional journey adds depth to the film’s patriotic theme.
During the screening, Emraan Hashmi told ANI that ‘Ground Zero’ is the first Hindi film dedicated solely to the BSF. He said, "We’ve seen stories about the Indian Army and police, but never one about the BSF. This film honours their courage and sacrifice."
Hashmi also called the operation shown in the film a "defining moment in India’s security history." He believes this story is not only powerful but needs to be told and seen by every Indian.
