HYBE Launches Fan Portal to Protect BTS

HYBE Entertainment, one of the biggest agencies in K-pop, announced the launch of a new online portal on September 23, 2024. The portal allows fans to report violations of their favorite artists' rights. With this platform, HYBE aims to strengthen its ability to protect the well-being of its artists by addressing defamatory posts, copyright infringements, and malicious content.

This is a significant step forward for the agency, which manages top K-pop groups like BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, NewJeans, ENHYPEN, SEVENTEEN, and many more. According to HYBE, the portal is designed to provide a more efficient and systematic approach to handling reports of legal violations against its artists.

A Unified System for All HYBE Artists

In its statement, HYBE revealed that this new online portal will replace the previous legal response hotline managed by BIGHIT MUSIC, the subsidiary responsible for BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. The agency emphasized that this new system will cover all artists under its multi-label structure, which includes labels like ADOR, PLEDIS Entertainment, and BELIFT LAB.

HYBE highlighted that the protection of their artists is of utmost priority. “We deeply appreciate your unwavering love and support for our artists. Please do not hesitate to submit your reports through our online portal,” HYBE said, encouraging fans to take an active role in protecting their favorite performers.

HYBE’s Commitment to Artist Protection

The agency reassured fans that they will continue taking regular legal action against malicious posts and copyright infringements, with no leniency toward offenders. HYBE mentioned that they already have a real-time internal monitoring system in place but will now also rely on fan reports for further assistance.

“We will continue to take legal action without compromise,” the agency stated. This message makes it clear that HYBE is determined to provide a safe environment for its artists while making it easier for fans to report any violations they encounter.

A Multi-Label Powerhouse in K-Pop

HYBE is a major force in the global entertainment industry. In addition to managing BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER through BIGHIT MUSIC, the agency also oversees popular acts like NewJeans under ADOR, SEVENTEEN under PLEDIS Entertainment, and ENHYPEN under BELIFT LAB.

The company's influence extends beyond South Korea, with international branches like HYBE America, HYBE Japan, and HYBE Latin America. Recently, HYBE even launched a global girl group named KATSEYE, further expanding its reach.

Conclusion: A Step Forward in Artist Protection

The launch of HYBE’s online portal is a critical step in ensuring the protection of K-pop artists from defamatory content and copyright violations. With fans now able to directly report issues, the agency can respond faster and more effectively to protect its artists' rights. This move reinforces HYBE’s dedication to creating a safe and supportive environment for its artists while empowering fans to contribute to their protection.

As HYBE continues to grow and manage some of the most popular names in K-pop, this online platform marks a significant milestone in safeguarding the rights and well-being of its artists.
