I Want To Talk Box Office Day 1: Abhishek Bachchan’s Film Earns ₹25 Lakh Amid Karan Arjun Clash
Abhishek Bachchan has returned to the big screen with I Want To Talk, a slice-of-life drama directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. The film explores themes of family, father-daughter relationships, and everyday struggles, resonating deeply with audiences and critics alike.
Day 1 Box Office Collection
Despite minimal promotions, I Want To Talk managed to pull a respectable opening at the box office. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned ₹25 lakh on its first day. Competing against the re-release of the Bollywood classic Karan Arjun, which hit theatres on November 22, the film faced stiff competition despite being the only new Hindi release this week.
Reports from Pinkvilla suggest the Day 1 collections might range between ₹25 to ₹30 lakh, with expectations of stronger numbers over the weekend as word of mouth spreads.

"I go for pure casting—the actor must absolutely melt into the character. For I Want To Talk, I found Abhishek to be exactly the character I had visualized," said Sircar. He added, "It’s a simple, slice-of-life film about families, fathers and daughters, everyday life. Like Piku or October, this film looks at the things we deal with every day. We often feel life’s challenges are insurmountable but later realize they were just small moments."
I Want To Talk tells the heartfelt story of an NRI father navigating his relationship with his daughter. The narrative spans years, exploring how families evolve over time and emphasizing the beauty in life’s seemingly mundane moments.
Fans of Shoojit Sircar’s earlier works like Piku and October will find familiar emotional depth and a reflective tone in this film.
Abhishek Bachchan, who last appeared in the sports drama Ghoomer, has a busy slate ahead. He will next star in Be Happy, set to release on Prime Video, and will also be part of the much-anticipated comedy Housefull 5.
