Kanguva Day 3 Box Office: Suriya’s Action Drama Holds Strong Despite Criticism

The much-anticipated Tamil movie Kanguva, starring Suriya, hit theaters this week, creating a wave of excitement among fans. While the film has received mixed reactions from audiences and critics alike, it continues to hold its ground at the box office.

As per early estimates reported by Sacnilk, Kanguva earned ₹9.50 crore on its third day, bringing the total box office collection to ₹42.75 crore. The movie opened to a strong ₹24 crore on its first day but saw a significant dip on Day 2, earning ₹9.25 crore. However, Saturday brought a glimmer of hope with a slight upward trend.

Apart from Suriya’s stellar performance, the movie features an ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, and Natarajan Subramaniam, along with K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and Kovai Sarala. Each actor adds their unique touch to this historical action film set a thousand years in the past.

One of the primary criticisms of Kanguva has been its excessively loud background score. The film’s producer, Gnanavel Raja, addressed this issue in a recent media interaction, assuring fans that the problem is being fixed.

“We have spoken to everyone and asked them to reduce the volume by 2 points. The film is set a thousand years back, and most episodes have massive action sequences. Considering the feedback, I asked exhibitors to reduce the sound. No one has criticized the songs or re-recording (RR), just the volume. The sound issues will be rectified by the night show,” Raja explained.

Adding to the excitement, Kanguva ends with a major reveal that has fans speculating about a sequel. Tamil actor Karthi makes an appearance, hinting at the continuation of this epic saga.
