It touched my heart deeply.” Another expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for speaking out against this heinous crime.” Many others echoed these sentiments, with several users joining the actor in his demand for justice.

The Case That Shocked the Nation

The case in question involves the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old postgraduate trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. The victim’s semi-nude body was discovered inside the hospital’s seminar hall on Friday, sparking widespread outrage. The doctor, who was a second-year student in the chest medicine department, was on duty the night before her body was found. The preliminary autopsy report indicated signs of sexual abuse before her murder, leading her father to allege that she was raped and killed within the hospital premises.

The incident has led to nationwide protests and strikes by junior doctors, trainees, and medical students, disrupting healthcare services in various parts of the country. The Calcutta High Court has since ordered that the investigation be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), recognizing the need for an impartial probe into the matter.

Bollywood Stands United

Ayushmann Khurrana is not the only Bollywood celebrity to speak out against the crime. Several other stars have also raised their voices, demanding justice for the victim. Kangana Ranaut advocated for the CBI to take charge of the investigation, while Alia Bhatt shared a post on her social media channels, also calling for justice.

The outcry from both the public and prominent figures in the entertainment industry underscores the urgent need for accountability and justice in such cases. As the investigation continues, the nation remains gripped by the case, with many hoping that the guilty will be swiftly brought to justice.
