Kim Sae Ron's Family Rejects Spirit Possession After Drunk Driving Scandal

On April 14, her family clearly denied the claims. They said, “It is false news that a spirit possessed her. She only became interested in Korean shamanism because of past acting roles.”

They also added, “The shaman people are talking about is just an acquaintance, not someone who influenced her.”

Kim Sae Ron acted in the movie “Manshin: Ten Thousand Spirits” and the drama “The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim,” both of which deal with Korean folk beliefs. Because of this, she became naturally interested in the subject. But that doesn't mean she was involved in spiritual rituals or shamanic possession.

In Korea, shinnaerim means someone receives a spirit and becomes a shaman, but her family made it clear this is not what happened.

YouTuber and Pub Owner Comment on Spirit Possession Claims

However, the pub owner denied it strongly. He said, “If this were true, I would have closed my pub and disappeared quietly.” He called the story a complete lie.

Meanwhile, WOODZ's agency has responded to old dating rumors involving Kim Sae Ron, but they have not shared any further details.
