Pakistani influencer Mathira Mohammad has addressed the circulation of explicit videos that allegedly depict her in compromising situations. In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Mathira claimed that her name, images, and photoshoot pictures are being misused to create fake content aimed at tarnishing her reputation.

She wrote, "People are misusing my name and my photoshoot pictures and adding fake stuff in; please have shame! Keep me out of this trashy nonsense." Mathira’s response comes as social media buzzes with unverified claims regarding the authenticity of the videos.

Mixed Reactions From Fans and Social Media Users

Mathira’s fans took to social media to show their support. One user commented, “There is nothing wrong if these are real, and we support you.” Another added, “Just ignore it, dear.” However, not all responses were supportive. Some social media users accused her of making excuses, with one stating, “No excuses are accepted. The pictures are yours. When, why, who, how—no question does not arise."

The online divide highlights the growing challenges faced by influencers in maintaining their privacy amid the invasive nature of social media.

Mathira is not the first Pakistani influencer to face such an ordeal. Recently, Minahil Malik and Imsha Rehman, two other prominent influencers, left social media after backlash over their alleged leaked MMS videos. Before her exit, Malik shared an emotional farewell post, stating, “It’s hard to say goodbye. No fights. Spread love. I’m leaving. I will miss you. I love you. Take care.”

The incidents point to a troubling trend where influencers, particularly women, are targeted with doctored content or leaks, leading to intense public scrutiny and mental health challenges.

Mathira’s Journey and Resilience

Born in Zimbabwe, Mathira moved to Pakistan due to political unrest and has since become a well-known Instagram influencer. Known for her bold personality and striking photoshoots, she has garnered a significant following. Despite her personal and professional ups and downs, including a divorce in 2018, Mathira continues to remain active on social media, where her candid posts resonate with fans.

The misuse of personal images and videos is not just an invasion of privacy but also a deeply harmful act. Mathira’s plea for respect and accountability reminds us of the importance of empathy and responsible online behavior. As social media platforms grow, so does the need for greater vigilance against cyber exploitation and harassment.
