Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 5: Allu Arjun’s Hit Surpasses Animal's Lifetime Despite 54% Drop

Allu Arjun's action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to dominate the Indian box office, even as its collections saw a significant drop of more than 54% on its fifth day. Despite this, the film has shown impressive numbers, quickly becoming a major hit across India.

Pushpa 2's Box Office Success So Far

The film's box office journey has been nothing short of remarkable. On its opening day, Pushpa 2 made an impressive ₹164.25 crore. The collections continued to soar with ₹93.8 crore on day 2, ₹119.25 crore on day 3, and ₹141.05 crore on day 4. Even on its fifth day, the film earned around ₹64.1 crore. As of its first Monday, the film’s total box office collection in India stands at ₹593.1 crore.

The film's success is driven by its strong performance in various languages. The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 made ₹331.7 crore, while the Telugu version brought in ₹211.7 crore. Additionally, the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions contributed ₹34.45 crore, ₹11.2 crore, and ₹4.05 crore, respectively. The film saw solid occupancy rates, with 38.33% across its Telugu shows and 40.11% across Hindi shows.

Pushpa 2 has already surpassed the lifetime collections of several blockbuster films, including Animal, which earned ₹553.87 crore over an 8-week run. Now, the film is eyeing the box office totals of Stree 2 and Jawan, which made ₹597.99 crore and ₹640.25 crore, respectively.

One of the most notable milestones for Pushpa 2 is its Hindi version crossing ₹300 crore in just 5 days, making it the fastest Indian film to achieve this feat. This record beats previous films like Jawan and Pathaan, which took 6 and 7 days to reach the ₹300 crore mark. Other films that have made a fast entry into the ₹300 crore club include Animal, Gadar 2, Stree 2, Baahubali 2 (Hindi), and KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi).

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 centers around a sandalwood mafia who faces difficulties in managing his illegal smuggling business while dealing with an ongoing rivalry with a senior police officer.
