Taking to social media, Allu Arjun expressed his heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. The actor called the decision a "progressive" step that highlights the government's commitment to the growth and success of the Telugu film industry. He also made a special mention of Pawan Kalyan, thanking him for his "invaluable support in empowering the film industry."
Mixed Reactions Across States
While the ticket price hike has been largely welcomed in Andhra Pradesh, it has stirred some controversy in neighboring Telangana. The Telangana government also implemented a similar ticket price hike, which led to a petition being filed in the Telangana High Court. Critics argue that the higher prices could financially burden moviegoers, especially those who are not able to afford the increased costs.
However, in Andhra Pradesh, the announcement of the price hike has been met with excitement and anticipation, especially with the growing popularity of Pushpa 2. Fans and industry insiders are optimistic that the move will benefit the Telugu film industry in the long run.
