Rachit Shetty Responds to Call for Committee to Investigate Harassment in Kannada Film Industry

In response to recent demands for an investigative committee similar to the 'Hema Committee' to address harassment issues in the Kannada film industry, actor Rachit Shetty has expressed support for the initiative.

Many voices in the industry have raised concerns about the well-being of women working in cinema, leading to a petition with hundreds of signatures submitted to the government through the organization, FIRE. The petition calls for the formation of a committee to investigate allegations of exploitation faced by women in Kannada cinema.

Shetty acknowledged the importance of such a committee, stating, "It's a good intention to form a committee like the 'Hema Committee.' We will also support it. However, signing the petition is not enough; I need to be actively involved in the work behind it. Simply signing and then retreating into my own world of filmmaking would be meaningless."
