Rajasthan Man Arrested in Karnataka

In a significant development, Mumbai Police have arrested Bhikharam Jalaram Bishnoi, a welder from Jalore, Rajasthan, for allegedly issuing a death threat to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Bhikharam was taken into custody in Karnataka, following a tip-off from the Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad (ATS).

According to Mumbai Police, Bhikharam was tracked down in Haveri, Karnataka. After changing locations frequently, he eventually settled in Haveri about a month and a half ago, where he worked on construction sites and lived in a rented room. ATS traced Bhikharam’s whereabouts using his mobile phone number, leading to his arrest.

Haveri Superintendent of Police Anshu Kumar confirmed, “Based on information received from the Maharashtra ATS, one person was apprehended in Haveri Town and handed over to them today.”

The Threat to Salman Khan: A Message Demanding an Apology or Ransom

The accused allegedly sent a threatening message to the Mumbai traffic control room, demanding that Salman Khan either apologize at a Bishnoi community temple or pay a ransom of Rs 5 crore. The message read, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologize or pay ₹5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active.” Bhikharam also claimed to be the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, linking himself to the infamous Bishnoi gang.

When questioned, Bhikharam did not provide a clear reason for sending the threat to Salman Khan. Police sources suggest that he may have issued the threat “for fun” and that there might not be a serious threat involved. However, the investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine Bhikharam’s true motives and any potential connections to larger criminal networks.

Salman Khan’s security has been significantly increased in recent months, particularly following the death of his close friend, NCP leader Baba Siddique. Salman received multiple threats after the incident, many purportedly from individuals affiliated with the Bishnoi gang.

Currently, Salman is busy filming for the popular reality show Bigg Boss 18 and his upcoming movie Sikander, both under heightened security.

Public Reaction: Concern for Salman’s Safety

Fans and the public have expressed concern over the ongoing threats against the Bollywood icon. Salman Khan’s loyal fan base has shown unwavering support, urging authorities to ensure his safety amid these unsettling incidents. While the latest arrest has provided some answers, the investigation into the motives behind these threats remains active.
