Recently, she took a moment to interact with her fans on Instagram, but the conversation took an unexpected turn when a fan commented on her weight, suggesting that she should "gain some weight." Samantha responded thoughtfully, opening up about her ongoing health journey.

Samantha’s Response to Body Shaming

In a video response, Samantha expressed her disappointment over yet another comment about her weight. The actress explained, “Another weight comment. I saw an entire thread about my weight. If you guys must know, I am on a strict anti-inflammatory diet which is required for my condition which prevents me from putting on weight.” She added, “Stop judging people. Let them be, live and let live. Please guys, it’s 2024.”

The comment seemed simple enough, reading, “Please Ma’am gain some weight. Please go on bulking.” However, it highlighted a sensitive issue for Samantha, as her weight is controlled by her strict diet to manage her health condition.

In October 2022, Samantha publicly shared her diagnosis of myositis, an autoimmune condition that affects muscle health. In her initial post, she admitted, “A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped.”

Samantha revealed the emotional and physical challenges she has faced, sharing that the journey has had its good and bad days. “I am slowly realizing that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with,” she wrote. Despite these struggles, Samantha remains hopeful, noting that her doctors are confident about her recovery.
