On the third death anniversary of Sidhu Moosewala, his father Balkaur Singh has organized a religious prayer meeting in Musa village of Mansa district of Punjab. The meeting started at 10 am and 'Shri Sahaj Path Ji' was organized in which people from the village and outside participated.

On 29 May 2022, Sidhu was shot in his village. The government had reduced his security a day before the incident. At that time he was not in a bulletproof car and only two bodyguards were with him instead of four. According to doctors, he was hit by 19 bullets and died within 15 minutes.

According to the police chargesheet, Lawrence Bishnoi and Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar had conspired to kill Sidhu Moosewala. The motive was to take revenge for the murder of Vicky Middhukheda. Lawrence and Goldie told the media that Sidhu's manager Shaganpreet's name had come up in Vicky's murder.
