Stampede Case: 'Pushpa 2' Star Allu Arjun Appears Before Police for Questioning

On Monday, Hyderabad Police served a fresh summons on actor Allu Arjun, calling him to appear at the Chikkadpally Police Station on Tuesday morning at 11 AM. The summons is related to the stampede on December 4, where a woman had died following the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre. An FIR has been lodged against the actor, who was arrested in this case earlier and released on bail. After the recent summons, Allu Arjun appeared before the Hyderabad Police today.

What Had Happened at Sandhya Theatre?

A stampede took place during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. A woman has been confirmed dead, and her son is said to be struggling for his life. Allu Arjun has been arrested in connection with the said incident and was detained overnight. He is currently on bail. The tragic event also caused a political storm in Telangana, where BJP and BRS raised voice against the Congress government by claiming that the Congress state government has taken specific decisions to harass film personalities.

Six persons have been detained for vandalism at the Allu Arjun house

On Sunday, some protesters demanding justice for the woman who died in the stampede allegedly damaged the property of the Pushpa 2 star. Later, police arrested six people who were involved in the demonstrations. However, they were released on bail on Monday.

Father of Allu Arjun Speaks Out

While Allu Arjun has not made any formal statement about the incident, Allu Aravind is his father and a famous producer. He spoke in front of the media people and said, "Everyone has seen what happened at our home. Now is the time to act according to the law. This is not the right moment for us to react publicly." As he further added, those responsible for the vandalism are arrested by the police and put a case against them. He emphasized that no one should encourage such acts, saying "I will not react because the media is here. This is the time to relax and let the law work.
