After a long wait, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are back to protect Chanderi in the much-anticipated return of the original Stree gang. Nearly six years after the eerie events caused by the mysterious woman, played by Shraddha Kapoor, Chanderi is once again in danger, this time from a new terror—a headless villain known as Sarkata. While the emergence of this menacing figure has intrigued audiences in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, there are some interesting details about the actor who brings Sarkata to life.
The Actor Behind Stree 2’s Sarkata
Sunil Kumar, also known as The Great Khali of Jammu, takes on the role of the main antagonist in Stree 2. Standing at an impressive 7 feet 6 inches, he even towers over the famous Indian wrestler. Hailing from Jammu, Kumar is not just an actor but also a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and has a background in wrestling. His athletic skills extend to handball and volleyball, through which he secured his police job under the sports quota. In 2019, he participated in a WWE Tryout.
Director Amar Kaushik shared insights on casting Sunil Kumar for the role, explaining, “The casting team discovered him. We needed someone of his stature, and he was perfect for the part. We used his body for the role, while Sarkata’s face was CGI-generated,” Kaushik revealed to Bollywood Hungama.
Stree 2’s Box Office Journey
