During a podcast with Siddharth Kannan, Amit Tandon recalled the intense moment, saying, “I still remember that slap from Smriti Irani. I’ve had fights with strong people, but Smriti’s slap was something I’ll never forget.” Amit explained that the slap was part of a scene where his character had to speak rudely to Smriti’s character, Tulsi. However, Smriti accidentally slapped him with such force that he felt a ringing in his ear for days.
Amit shared that the impact of the slap was so strong it left fingerprints on his cheek, and he had to see a doctor due to the ringing in his ear. “For two days, my ear was making strange sounds. It was a real experience!” he added, emphasizing that the slap was not intentional but certainly unforgettable.
The incident left everyone on set, including co-stars Hiten Tejwani and Rakshanda Khan, in shock. Amit said, “The entire cast was stunned; nobody could understand what had just happened.” Although the slap was unexpected, it became one of the most memorable experiences of his time on Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
