Uttarakhand being a mountainous region which is extremely scenic, one could hardly think of roads that so beautifully traverse the mountains.
But the same roads remain so narrow that over all these years, the number of serious accidents has piled up. Most of such accidents have occurred during rainy days when visibility is a complete zero and the roads do get sticky.
Statements of the Police and Further Attempts
The officials are stating that the cause of the mishap is still being traced. However, accounts state that the bus probably had gone out of control since it was traveling down the narrow mountainous highway which was having a sharp curve leading to the fatal fall. The district authorities are warning all the tourists and are doing much in the efforts of enhancing the security measures they have already installed regarding the mountain roads.
